Average Price Program

The Average Price Program through CHS helps to take some of the emotion out of making grain marketing decisions by utilizing a marketing tool that prices an equal volume of bushels each day during a specified pricing period. In this program, you’ll specify the number of bushels and enroll in the program by entering into a forward contract with CHS.

No bushel enrollment minimums. You can price any unpriced bushels at any time for an additional fee if you decide this program is no longer the right fit for your marketing plan.

  • When the pricing period ends, the futures price component of the contract price will be the average closing settlement price over the pricing period
  • Set basis separately prior to time of delivery
  • Producer can price any unpriced bushels at any time for an additional 2 cent fee
